Barber Bella’s Social Media Identity
My goal was to create a cohesive visual identity—illustration, logotype, and supporting assets—that captured Bella’s personality while standing out in both digital and print contexts. This included designing a brand portrait, selecting typography, developing messaging, and producing materials such as business cards and social media graphics.
The final brand identity is charming, bold, and unmistakably personal, giving Bella a visual system that feels professional while capturing her unique style. The combination of illustration, typography, and messaging strengthens her online presence and enhances her client touchpoints.
Project Type: Brand Identity
Role: Designer, Illustrator
Client: Bella Allen
Deliverables: Logomark, logotype, digital & print assets
Date: Fall 2025
I began by gathering detailed information about Bella’s vision, personal style, and the emotional tone she wanted her brand to evoke. Together, we reviewed visual references, identified illustration styles she connected with, and refined the brand’s voice. I sketched multiple concepts before creating a custom stylized portrait that blended nostalgic charm with contemporary linework.
In parallel, I explored taglines and copy options, collaborating with Bella to land on “Modern Hair & Inclusive Care”—a phrase reflecting her authenticity and client-forward approach. For her business card, I proposed and designed an unconventional 3" × 3" format, intentionally chosen to feel like a small art piece rather than a disposable card.
Additional deliverables included a clean, modern logotype suitable for watermarking digital content, a refreshed social media profile image, and a custom rebranding announcement graphic. Throughout the process, I kept Bella actively involved, providing updates, explaining design decisions, and ensuring every element aligned with her personality and goals.
– Delivered: custom portrait illustration, full logotype, tagline, new profile image, 3" × 3" business card design, rebranding announcement graphic.
– Improved differentiation: business cards designed to be 50% more visually memorable than standard sizing due to nontraditional dimensions and illustration-forward layout.
– Increased client engagement: Bella reported more interaction on social media after posting the rebranding announcement (self-reported metrics).
