Barber Bella’s Social Media Identity
My goal was to create a cohesive visual identity—illustration, logotype, and supporting assets—that captured Bella’s personality and business attitudes. This included designing a brand portrait, selecting typography, and developing messaging.
The final brand identity is charming and full of character, giving Bella a visual system that captures her unique style. The combination of imagery and messaging strengthens her online presence and enhances her client touchpoints. Throughout the process, I kept Bella actively involved, providing updates, explaining design decisions, and ensuring every element aligned with her personality and goals.
Project Type: Brand Identity
Role: Designer, Illustrator
Client: Bella Allen
Deliverables: Logomark, logotype, digital & print assets
Date: Fall 2025
I began by gathering information about Bella’s vision and personal style she wanted her brand to evoke. Bella and I worked together to analyze illustration styles she connected with. We also identified visual references such as Kewpie Dolls from the early 20th century and the mascot for Bob’s Big Boy. For her business card, I proposed an unconventional 3" × 3" format, intentionally chosen to feel like a small art piece rather than a disposable card.
Additional deliverables included a modern logotype suitable for watermarking digital content.
– Delivered: custom portrait illustration, full logotype, tagline, new profile image, 3" × 3" business card design, rebranding announcement graphics, service menu, and social media announcement backgrounds.
– Increased client engagement: Bella reported more interaction on social media after posting the rebranding announcement.
