My Barn My Rules by horsegiirL & MCR-T

I was tasked with creating an animated video that synchronized visuals with music, with the goal of producing a dynamic viewing experience. My solution was to design a concert-style visualizer using the song “My Barn My Rules” by horsegiirL, while incorporating original footage and advanced animation techniques.

I began by creating a storyboard with individual frames to inspire my animation later on. I filmed my own video content featuring horses and used it as the foundation for the project. I applied camera and motion tracking effects to enhance movement and rotoscoped selected shots to isolate subjects and place them against vibrant backgrounds. I integrated key lyrics from the song, experimented with bold color palettes, and added transitions timed precisely to the music to create an energetic visual flow.

The final animation was well received by my classmates, demonstrating strong visual storytelling and synchronization with audio. Through this project, I expanded my technical skills in motion tracking, rotoscoping, and music-driven animation.
