A Short Guide to Fabric Dye

Project Type: Motion Graphics

Role: Illustrator, Animator

Client: Self-Exploration

Deliverables: Storyboard, Animated Video

Date: Fall 2025

I set out to create a short-form animated explainer video optimized for digital platforms. The topic focused on illustrating the benefits and process of using RIT fabric dye. My goal was to produce a clear educational piece that combined motion design and storytelling.

I began by researching RIT’s instructional materials across their website and packaging. Using this information, I wrote a script and created a sketched storyboard to define pacing and visuals. In Adobe After Effects, I animated the sequence, incorporated subtitles for accessibility, and used particle systems to enhance the imagery.

The final video is a clear, visually polished explainer that communicates the dyeing process in an engaging format.
